Introduction

Seerat un Nabi Committee was formed as a society in 1982 with late Mohd. Shafi Qureshi as President, Er. Kauser Ali as General Secretary and late M.A.Haque as Treasurer. A list of the office bearers since 1982-85 is given elsewhere.It was formally registered on _________ with the Register of Societies, NCT Delhi.The committee has so far organized more than 120 such programmes since inception ending with Jalsa-e-Seeratun Nabi held at India Islamic Culture Centre, New Delhi on 29th November, 2018. Prominent Ulema and scholars from across the country and abroad have participated in these programs. 

  • The last Jalsa was addressed by Mufti Muhammad Rashid Azimi from Darul Uloom Deoband and Dr. Mufti Muhammad Arif Nadeem Qasmi from Delhi.

     

  • The last Seerat Seminar was organized at Ghalib Institute on 1st April, 2018 on the Simplification of Nikah ceremony in which Mufti Adil Jamal Nadvi and Dr. Nadeem Khan Falki were the Speakers.

     

  • Community Iftar Program was organized on 1st June 2018 at Masjid Dargah Madar, near ITO in which Haji Mumtaz Ahmed Sb. spoke on Fazail-e-Ramadan.

     

  • Last Seerat Calender for 1440 Hijri and new Souvenir were released in the 37th Jalsa Seeratun Nabi on 29th Nov. 2018. 

The committee has been issuing a Seerat Calender as per lunar year and a Souvenir highlighting the
speeches of Ulemas or articles on Seeratun Nabi for the last many years.

Aims and Objectives

1. To follow the life and teachings of the last Holy Prophet of Allah, Hazrat Mohammed
Sallallahu-Alaihi-Wasallam (Peace be upon him).

2. To introduce the life and the teachings of this great personality and universal teacher to
the people of different faiths of the world in order to create universal human
brotherhood.

3. To strengthen the relations of Islamic brotherhood.

4. To organize and hold General Meetings/Seminars/Conferences on the teachings of the
Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammed Sallallahu-Alaihi-Wasallam (Peace be upon him) in
different areas of Delhi.

5. To publish, sell and provide literature on the life and the teachings of the Holy
Prophet Hazrat Mohammed Sallallahu-Alaihi-Wasallam (Peace be upon him).

6. To establish, maintain and manage Islamic educational Institutions.

7. To compile a Directory of Muslim elites.

8. To organize religious and social functions, meetings and programmes in order to
promote the aims and objects of the Committee.

9. To give scholarships to the needy students of various disciplines.

10. To give honorarium and/or stipend to widows, orphans and disabled persons.
